Metabolic cooking aka the metabolic cookbook is one of the most publicized products on the net right now. I am signed up to several health and wellness email lists and I’ve had every guru of every type tell me that this product is the next big thing.

It’s good to know that people back it, but I had to find it out for myself if it really lives up to the hype or if it’s just a scam. I never put my stamp of approval on something unless I am completely certain so let’s delve a little deeper into metabolic food.

My Favorite Recipe

Metabolic Cooking is actually many things. It’s a fat loss nutrition program, one of many metabolism boosters, a set of 11 recipe books, a supplements guide, and eight different checklists. It can actually be broken up in two parts.

 

Above all else it’s a fully immersive plan to buy, shop, prepare, cook and eat foods that are designed to burn fat and speed up your metabolism. Like I always say, how can you expect to get leaner/slimmer if your body is not performing optimally. This plan is designed to do that.

Essentially this product can be broken up into two parts. The first is the Fat Loss Optimizer. This is where the authors lay out the philosophy behind Metabolic Cooking, nutritional guidelines and how to maintain a diet that promotes a high metabolism.

The second part is the recipe books. These are broken down into 11 parts (red meats, snacks, breakfast etc…). Each part has

twenty plus recipes. Throughout each meal, the emphasis, above all else, is placed on eating meals and using ingredients that speed up the metabolism.

Metabolic Cookbook – Who Are The Authors?

Metabolic cooking is written by Dave Ruel and his girlfriend/business partner, Karine Lossier. Dave Ruel is known as the “Muscle Cook” and Karine Lossier as the Lean Mean Kitchen Queen.

When you look at their credentials and the shape they are in, you will quickly realize these titles have been earned, not taken. Dave received a lot of acclaim after releasing the Anabolic Cookbook several months prior. He is a successful fitness cook, author and bodybuilder. Karine is a fitness cook, personal trainer and fitness model.

Both of these authors have made a name for themselves as people you can trust. I like that they aren’t marketers as much as they are just passionate cooks and health nuts that want to share what they’ve learned with the world.

  • I wasn’t a fan of the protein powder recipes. Personally, I don’t really like whey protein and the recipes that required it were just not for me.
  • There was not much emphasis on exercise. Without a doubt Dave Ruel and Karine Lossier did not get to look the way they do simply by eating right. They worked out … a lot.

What I Did Like About Metabolic Cooking

  • I found the product to be really well designed and easy to use. The photos were stunning and the recipes were easy to follow.
  • It was good to know that each meal and recipe was designed to not only be healthy, but to help burn fat. By utilizing the thermogenic effect of foods like cinnamon, ginger, pepper etc… I knew the meals were nourishing me as well as boosting my metabolism.
  • The meals themselves were really simple to prepare. I think they kept the busy person in mind when creating this product.
  • The meal plans included using their patented Nutri-Profile System makes it easy to decide which meals to have when.
  • The book is written by Dave Ruel and Karine Lossier, two people that I trust in the world of health and fitness.

Overall Opinion

This is indeed a quality product if you are interested in eating sensibly to boost your bodies natural ability to burn fat. If you are like me then you will quickly realize that it saves money in the long run and really does work to help you lose weight.
